Welcome
Neighbors!
Hudson Bayou
Neighborhood Association is a voluntary group of residents and business
owners conceived and incorporated as a nonprofit corporation for
the purpose of maintaining and improving the neighborhood quality
of life.
Residents are
privileged to live within walking distance of Selby Gardens, Burns
Court, Towles Court, the post office, Island Park, the downtown
area, Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Southside Villge and a great many
restaurants, cultural amenities, shops and services. Hudson Bayou
is also only 15 minutes away from the white sand beaches of Siesta
Key and Lido Key. Beautiful foliage and mature trees abound in our
area; neighborhood houses show a great deal of character and individuality.
Residents feel safe; people are pleasant and mindful of the neighborhood.
The boundaries
of our Hudson Bayou Neighborhood are south of Mound, east of Orange,
west of Osprey and the northside of Hyde Park. Any resident of this
geographic area may participate in any activity sponsored by HBNA
regardless if they have a current membership in HBNA. HBNA is staffed
by volunteers and has a very modest budget that is financed by families
who formally join HBNA for $20.00 annually. Business owners in the
area who are not residents may also join for $20 annually and receive
a link on this site.
Please contact us at info@hudsonbayou.org if you would like to volunteer
time, or are concerned at any time about a neighborhood issue. You're
also invited to post information or opinions on our blog that concern
this neighborhood or are of general interest to residents.
